Face Coverings & Hand Gel are Still Required

We are all aware that as of today, 24/02/2022, the Government has started the phased relaxation of the COVID-19 rules in England. Today it is no longer law that you have to isolate if you have COVID or have any symptoms and it is the start of life going back to normal. HOWEVER, at the end of the paragraph on page 16 of the document published it states “There will be specific guidance for staff in particularly vulnerable services, such as adult social care, HEALTHCARE, and prisons and places of detention”. That means we may have different rules to follow as we deal with vulnerable adults and children, but we are awaiting the release of this information!

Therefore, we letting you know that this relaxation of the rules DOES NOT currently apply to healthcare settings. There will be no changes until we see documentation specifically aimed at General Practice. We have a duty to protect the most vulnerable patients who may be visiting the surgery, so we ask that you continue to wear a face covering and use the hand gel, just as our staff will be doing.

We will let you know about any changes just as soon as we hear.

As always, thank you for your support.
